I was following directions on google maps through my phone. My destination was a lake. I was unfamiliar with the area, so it wasn’t until I had reached my destination that I realized I was several miles off course at an old farmhouse in the middle of nowhere. However, as an artist, the middle of nowhere is sometimes a good place to be, so I got out my paint box.

December in Kentucky can be dreary, but the color scheme in the country is beautiful and I was loving the orange pop in the scene and the way these two trees in the foreground interacted with one another.
