I loved the way the sunlight sparkled on the water and shone through the leaves of the tree while creating a silhouette of the lower bushes.
It was a dreary morning but this tree fascinated me.
The sun came out for this painting last May at the lake. Â I was interested in the subtle background mountains contrasting with the foreground tree.
This beautiful morning I followed the plow into this park and liked the look of the fresh snow hanging on this tree.
I like the angle of the bridge in the composition and the play of the bright snow to the trees. Â The light was very bland on this day and it forced me to look at shape, color and composition to come up with a scene. Â It was peaceful.
Fences provide directional lines and a foreground. Â This was a beautiful morning and I pulled into the park right after the truck with the plow had paved a way to get in. Â The snow was deep, fresh and coated the landscape.
This was a particularly hard day for me to find a painting in the landscape. Â The lighting was very even, however, I took the challenge and was fairly happy with at least three of the four paintings of the day. Â Here is a quiet scene of the bottom of a tree in the snow.
At the edge of a city looking out at nature and the remnants of Winter snow. Â I was interested in the expanse and the open feeling of the scene.
Another solitary road in a peaceful place with winter colors around me.
