Pathway in the Hills

I was fascinated with the patterns of shadows and light.  The shadow from the foreground tree leading to the light on the path.  The shadows of the row of trees beyond the path to the bright field behind.

I started this painting on site, but later made minor touches to it in the studio.  I wasn’t happy with some of my values and knew what I had to fix when I revisited the painting to touch it up.
