The Darker Side of Morning Promise

Morning Promise is a series based on the hope of the shell left when the inside has grown and is left.  However, recently I have realized how poignantly it also represents the emptiness of a shell where there is no life.  It reflects also the pain and crumbs that are left when there is no life.  It is a pathway to loneliness, isolation, and despair.  These paintings were created at the beginning of a journey that I have been on for almost five years that has reflected this dark side of the images.
