What to do when you are in your car and don’t want to disturb someone’s nap? Â Pull over and paint. Â Here is a study I did on a beautiful sunny day. Â I would have liked to be outside when I did it, but there wasn’t any shade nearby and it was a very windy day. Â So I painted it in the front seat of the car.
When confronted with all of the green in this picture I started something a little different and focused on creating an image inspired by what was in front of me. Â My process was a little different than normal and I went with what was going on in my mind as I painted the scene.

Working on the spot outdoors, one has to deal with weather. Â When I painted this painting, there were low clouds that were constantly moving in and out of my view of the mountain.
