I was searching for a place to pull over and paint on a foggy rainy morning and found this small park.  It’s not a beach scene, but the fog was so thick that you couldn’t see much on the beach.  I was able to sit in the back of my highlander and paint this out of the rain.

While in Michigan this past June, I was able to average 3 paintings a day with a total of 26 paintings in 8 and a half days. Â For me this was a breath of fresh air after a wonderful but hard year. Â My wonderful husband was generous enough to take over during the morning before he had to work and to free me up again in the evening after dinner. Â This is the third painting of the trip on Saturday evening right before sunset. Â It was my first of many 6″ by 8″ landscape studies.
