A small dynamic landscape painting combining windows from northern and central Italy.
There is a contrast in materials used as well as design. Â In the Dolomites more wood is used, while in Umbria, more stone is used. Â Central Italy has warmer colors in the architecture, while in the mountains rich wood tomes are contrasted with white walls and painted designs. Â Neither of the windows that inspired the painting had transparent glass and yet one was golden and the other a frosty white.
