Windows: North and Central

A small dynamic landscape painting combining windows from northern and central Italy.

There is a contrast in materials used as well as design.  In the Dolomites more wood is used, while in Umbria, more stone is used.  Central Italy has warmer colors in the architecture, while in the mountains rich wood tomes are contrasted with white walls and painted designs.  Neither of the windows that inspired the painting had transparent glass and yet one was golden and the other a frosty white.
