Last Summer, Sea Foam was hanging in a spare bedroom.
Turning at an angle on the beach, the same tranquil morning, a different line of wooden posts and the waves washing rhythmically on the shore. Â I was getting chilly, but was busy painting and only noticed when I had finished how cold I had become!

The sky was beautiful and the contrast and reflection made by the remains of the wooden posts interested me. Â It was a cold morning and I was bundled up to paint.

It was the type of beautiful relaxing evening that one might look for when traveling to the beach.  The beach was crowded as some finished their day of play and others came by to wait for sunset.

Another chance to paint with my feet in the sand. Â It shouldn’t matter what your feet are in while you paint, but there is something so comfortable and relaxing about having your feet in sand. Â I would back up to see the painting from further away and then go back to my position at the easel. Â My feet would dig back into the sand and I picked up my tool of brush or knife again.
The pattern of the clouds drew me into the scene on the edge of the water.
Near to the cottage where we were staying was a public beach that became a great place to paint in the evening. Â After the painting was over, we could enjoy the sunset.

I was interested in the changes in value and color that the grasses made as their background changed from other grass, to water, to sky.

It was a dreary day, and beach had only a few people. Â I liked the reflections in the close water.

I stood on the porch of a house on the lake and painted the view. The red stone on the edge of the grass was where the front door of the house used to be. They had to move the house back and now the red stone is where the bluff starts.
