I set up for this painting in a side path at Fort Harrison. While I was painting, rain was threatening. After I got the first block in of the painting complete, I took a break to look at my weather app on my phone and saw that there was a large storm moving through Indianapolis.
Almost a year after my last plein air oil sketch, I made it out to paint with my artist friend Jessica Green last May. I have painted a few watercolor car paintings since January, but it felt so good to get back out and paint. Indiana this time of year is a variety of greens that can sometimes give me a headache as I paint!
